( MELT COSMETICS DUPE !!!!!) PARK AVENUE MONO EYESHADOW- BURGRUNDY 07

So while vacationing in the northern part of Europe, Belgium to be precise, if you'd read my previous post on my last make up look I spoke about some products which I got from a store called Di. Anyways right down to the business of the day, I am a product junkie and when I mean products i'm talking cosmetics, make up, nail polish, hair etc. For someone who used to be a tomboy it still beats me how I got here. So while cruising the stores in City 2, I stumbled upon these lovely mono eyeshadows. ( I got them in 5 colours). I wasn't so sure what it was going to give and I knew I would literally cry if they didn't turn out as I wanted. Alors, I was able to create this look with one of these lovely beauties which could easily be a dupe for the melt cosmetics range. If you follow me on Instagram you'll see my latest picture there and I must tell you the pigments on this eyeshadow is scary. Most times

I have to consciously remind myself to start with little and build up so that I don't have too much on, but guys a little comes a long way. The products I doubt have any publicity but this right here gives melt cosmetics a run for their money.  I've spent a lot of my time and energy looking for products that could compensate the high end ranges, not because I don't like them but for the simple fact that most products that retail in the USA are difficult to come by in France and if eventually you find them the cost of shipping takes away all the fun or most times they don't ship to France. ( So unfair). Now, unfortunately these products retail in Belgium and I haven't seen any here in France for the moment but hey you could always go for Mac cosmetics range in Eye shadow palette "Purple Times Nine" which of course you all know retails for about 15-20 euros. Guess how much I got these ? €4.50-no joke :o

So, till I see you my loves next time, Its with all my love I say ....

Bye.

"GRAND CRU" DE BOURJOIS

"Red is the great clarifier - bright, cleansing and revealing, it makes all colors beautiful. I can't imagine becoming bored with red. It would be like becoming bored with the person you love. -Diana Vreeland"

Hello juliettsstyle readers and welcome to another week on my blog. The weekend was quite hectic for me as I was on an emergency make up transformation on a client. She lived in Nice and came to Nantes to have her wedding over the weekend. She didn't know anyone
and the poor darling was so frightened. But it came out all good and she loved her transformation. Didn't the good book say that all things worketh for good to those that love God...... Romans 8:28 ? Hell yeah, I'm one of them :). Anyways if y'all recall in my last post on bourjois rouge velvet edition I mentioned that I hadn't tried that out yet and you'd be the first to know once I did.

Well, here it is. I've never been one to be drawn to drugstore products but many of you will agree with me that most of the more expensive ranges of make up products are being given a run for their money. It's velvety and smooth application is so smooth and flawless. At first it seemed a bit rough and then I remembered watching Nikkietutorials whom I follow by the way on Youtube on how to apply lipsticks like this like a pro and my problem was solved. It's a one application full coverage type of lippie and dries almost immediately as you apply. The pigment is quite intense I must say, soon on a scale of 1- 10 I'll give this product an 8 which is quite plutot good in my opinion and lastly, it stayed put all day. (This picture was taken at the end of the day after eating et al.)

P.S You'll have to use a moisturising red lipstick first as a base before applying the velvet matte, OR rather that's how I wear mine. I'll be coming up with the other lippie looks which I got and I'll let you know how they pan out.
How would you wear your bourjois velvet matte lippies? Would you moisturise first or just apply directly? Leave your comments down below. i'd love to know.
Until my next blog, so long......

LOVE,

BACK TO SCHOOL IDEAS & ESSENTIALS !!!!!!

Hello everyone and welcome once more to my blog. This topic has been on my mind since the school season started a few days ago and it goes out to all the mums out there, the papas and students. Today we'll be talking about "back to school" problems. One might wonder why it's a problem, for those of us who've got kids the stress of buying new stuff for school, shopping and even spending isn't all that much fun. So we're going to take these points one at a time.

1. Spending- When it's time to go back to school especially after spending a long vacation, incurring expenses during vacation, I bet coming back to spend more money on back to school items isn't fun. I remember while growing up in Nigeria, I had purposely destroyed a pair of my "cortina bata"( For those who wore cortina they know what I'm talking about) just because first and foremost I didn't like it and secondly I wanted a new pair of something different. Fast forward to the present, and a mummy later, check me out crossing out lists and items from my baby's, school list. Over here you really  don't have a choice in the matter cos the school sends the list, so what did super mummy do, I went through the old stuff and checked off the things he had that were still re-usable and the ones that had to be replaced. Moral of the story? Shine your eyes.

2. Organisation- This one is specifically for those of us who live abroad and have seen how easy it is to get a housekeeper or nanny. Going back to school is a time for parents to fret once more over who brings the children back from school, where could they stay after school who's going to take care of them ? You know all that good stuff. I tell you it doesn't seem as easy as super nanny makes it look on TV. I haven't started school yet, so it gives me a little leverage and time to put my house in order, this is where "la garderie" check here ( You know where you can keep your little munchkins before mum and dad get in from work) comes into play. so you get the gist, it could come a little bit pricey but hey, "make hay while the sun shines" has never sounded so wise so you don't find yourself in a very tight situation.

3. Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise - Oh yes, I said it. Ca ne vaut pas de la peine, de s'aller se coucher en retard. ( It doesn't make any sense going to bed late). Back to school does that to you. Turning in on time is your catalyst to function super well for the day. Be it around your kids or at school or at work. Don't even bother with the late night caps you like to enjoy or movies etc. The kids need to be in bed early enough, as well as mum and dad. A grumpy mummy or daddy doesn't bode well for the household and trust me I'm one of those people who hate to see children cry to school. School would be fun for the kids and the mornings should also be peaceful enough to let them transition into the day's activities at school. It could be a bore sometimes and somewhat annoying especially for people like me who function better at night when everywhere's quiet and calm, but like I said it's "Back to school brouhaha." :)

So my loves, I'm going to stop here on this post. Do tell me what y'all think. Do you function the same way ? Write up your own back to school tips and tricks in the comments section, I'd love to read about them. Is back to school fun for you or nah?

So till my next post loves, remain beautiful and gorg.

Love,
xoxo

MOODY MONDAY- DARK EYES & LIPS MATTE MAKE UP GLAM

Wet day for a Monday, I've never really liked Mondays so with the rain it kind of sealed it for me but hey behind dark clouds we all try to find a silver lining. So even though the weather was a dampener on my spirits, I still tried to find a soothing makeup look. Lately, I've been doing mattes and I seem to have fallen into habit with them. They come out as chic for me. What do you guys think ? While taking the photos I felt a little embarrassed as there were passers by staring considering it's the beginning of the school year. I'm a shy person so public display comes out very difficult for me. All of the make up I used for this look were all budget friendly and the quality of what you can get from them is amazing. Of course being on vacation, I explored drug store products from another part of Europe and I tell you, I'm getting a lot of value for my argent (money). So long my sweet hearts.

Love
xoxo
